A Sense of Community

In the last little while I have spent a lot of time searching around the internet reading other blogs and stories of people who struggle with disordered eating and weight loss. I recognize in them the same struggles and challenges I face every day and I feel less alone. I see that it is ok to have a bad day, whatever the trigger, and that it doesn't need to derail my efforts or send me on a multi day binge. I can let it go and then tomorrow will be a better day.
I appreciate this sense of community and how accepting of me it will be. I look forward to being a part of it.

  3. (sorry for all the comments- I just found your blog via Ali @ fit to fat)

Every day is a new day, Every meal is a new meal... you can't change the past, but you can change the future. Don't look back and feel badly about what you ate, did, didn't do... Look ahead and feel positive about the things you can do.
You have a great attitude! :-)

    Take care!!

  7. Hi Dreidl,

I came across your link via Twitter. I commend you in posting your journey for support, community, and ideas. I'm a personal trainer in Toronto, and one of my clients has lost over 200 lbs, and chronicled his progress on a blog as well. He also feared death, which was his primary motivation to seek help. You can see his blog at www.secondcomingofchris.blogspot.com, and he would certainly be happy to email you if you need advice from someone who's "Done it". He was 435 lbs when he started.

Best of success and enjoy your new journey!

    Sincerely,

    Sebastien Rahman
